Welcome to State-of-the-Art Broadband Video
Monitoring.
The image below was taken moments ago. It
was automatically taken of and distributed from a radio-telescope platform at the GARS O'Higgins Research
Station in Antarctica, using an AVISS Server. The image has a timestamp in the upper right-hand
side. The server is set to refresh the image every 30 minutes.
Refresh rates can be as often 24 times per second - with an audio
feed. That's a movie quality stream and only takes a fraction of the
bandwidth available in most Local Area Networks.
This can be seen from anywhere in the world, and could be taken from almost any location worldwide. Imagine the possibilities!!
"...One of the most versatile low cost
security systems on the market."
The server can be configured to detect motion
within the field of view and, if the activity is outside of a predefined 'normal
range', to create an 'event' and send alerts to those responsible for monitoring
this site.
Events don't have to be the result of motion in the field of view. They can also be a timed event (i.e. every 15 minutes), when a door is opened or a turnstile is moved, when temperature surpasses a defined normal range, or when the built in infrared sensor detects heat related activity or the built in (or external) microphone detects sound above or below an acceptable dB.
The server has built in storage capabilities, and snapshot images can be saved at the time of the triggering event, and for several frames either before the event took place or after it happened. Or both. So we can document not only the event itself, but the scene before the event was triggered and afterwards. These images are internally 'finger printed', so that the legal system can easily determine if the image has been modified in any way.
Cashiers or traffic on the highway can be monitored, and click a button to begin taking snapshot images whenever we'd like. Systems like this could monitor the perimeter and/or interior of buildings, with active events popping up from the rest on the screen at the guard shack.
With this system, you can monitor your vacation home, boat or other interests, be able to see them anytime from anywhere, and be automatically notified if an intruder is in the vacinity.
Interested in automated industrial applications? This solution can monitor a production line and notify the appropriate person not only when there is too much activity, but not enough. So, for example, if you expect 10 boxes to travel down a conveyer every 15 seconds, you can be notified if the actual count is either too many or too few. Remedies can therefore be initiated before the production process grinds to a halt, without people sitting and watching at every point of the process.
Getting Started Couldn't be
Easier
We will take care of installing the necessary
cameras and computer equipment at your business locations. We will also arrange
for the installation of the broadband (cable or DSL) lines needed to connect
your business locations to the Internet. (If you already have those in place, we
can usually share them and save you money.) The live video signals from your
business locations are digitized and transferred to our secure server. In order
to view the pictures, you simply use any Internet-connected PC and click on the AVISS
web site, type in your username and password, and begin viewing live video from
your business locations. Your viewing location is not fixed. You can check your
business operations while you're on vacation, if you'd like.
Additionally, we can provide you with a (or remotely store on), digital recorder
that allows you to record the images from all of your cameras, and to view
stored images from all of your locations for the last week or more, all over the
Internet. This eliminates all the hassles associated with having to remember to
change and store clunky VCR tapes.
